Default Bad Luck for Couples to Walk Down the Aisle?

I've heard this superstition before, but I can't find the exact "rules" anywhere on the Internet. I've heard that it's bad luck for couples to walk down the aisle together when they're in the bridal party of someone else's wedding. Is this true?

We have six people out of the 16 in our bridal party (aside from the two of us) who are together. Two couples are married, the other two people are in a serious relationship and we expect to at least be engaged by our wedding. Are they not allowed to walk down the aisle together?

Can anyone find this on the Internet?

Then they came for the Collie... and there was no one left to speak out for my Collies.

I don't know about that superstition, but as long as both person love each other, they can walk together I guess, and they will continue to love each other anyways

I was told that if they walk down the aisle together, they will break up. Considering these people are my Sister & BIL, Keith's Sister and BIL, and two of our closest friends... I really wouldn't want that to happen!

This type of solution might be one way to get around it:

From www.bridalguide.com

Quote:
Q:
Our wedding party consists of five bridesmaids and eight groomsmen. What’s the best way to pair them up for the ceremony? Do all of the groomsmen have to walk down the aisle during the processional?
-Springfield, Illinois

A:
Wedding parties like yours, with an uneven number of bridesmaids and groomsmen, are quite common. The good news is, you do have several options to consider for both the processional and recessional. For the processional, your groomsmen enter the church first and walk down the aisle in single file, followed by your bridesmaids. Or, the groomsmen can already be in the church, either at their seats or standing before the congregation with the groom, before your bridesmaids start their walk.
For the recessional, have the first bridesmaid paired with one groomsman and the next three bridesmaids paired with two groomsmen each, one on either side.
Have the groomsmen already at the front-that way, you don't have to worry about who walks with who down the aisle.

It's okay Maxine... I guess superstitions are called superstitions for a reason, lol.

Thanks Skryker! I think one of the nicest parts of the wedding is seeing everyone walk down together... so I'm thinking maybe I'll just ignore the superstition... after all, it is pretty far fetched. If it's a celebration of love, than why can't people who love one another walk down the aisle together?
