Default HELP!!!

I killed a bug the other day that was REALLLLLLY little. It looked like a tick to me, but I couldn't tell if it was that or a spider. Then today I found this on my wall. Is it a tick? This is the best pic I could get... I am SOOO nervous. Why would I find to two tick-like bugs in my house? Does that mean they laid eggs or something near by??

I'm worried about Maximus AND us, is it a deer tick? The other one was really little- this one was about the size of the head of a q-tip. When I squished it, it crunched, that is what sealed the deal for me that it was a tick but I need your opinions because I'm clueless. What do I do!!????!!!!

LOL I hope you're right!!! About both comments! I mean I know we have ticks here... VERY rarely, but it's happened- although I've never heard of a deer tick problem... but the NYS website said it's possible!! I'm so nervous- I keep itching and looking around me... and checking Maximus' fur! LOL!

OMG I am so hoping for you it is not bed bugs.

I became quite well aquinted with the little buggers in Malaysia and they are NOT fun to deal with they leave the itchiest bites you can ever imagine. They leave 3 bites in a line so if you are getting bitten like this... A friend of mine in Montreal has them right now and can't get rid of them. She got them from a used table (yes they can live in wood! ). Apparently they are spreading around North America right now. Bed bugs look like the pic below. I always thought they looked a bit like black ladybugs. If it IS bed bugs get an exterminator before the problem gets worse, they are SUPER hard to get rid of! Okay I hope I haven't completely freaked you out, but just wanted to warn you...

I know what bed bugs are, (and I wouldn't even think of getting used furniture because I know how bad the problem is right now) and it's definitely not that... plus bed bugs usually come out at night, these were both during the day and in the middle of the title or wall. Plus they don't look like bed bugs- urgh- and bed bugs are SO gross as well! The big one was WAY bigger than a bed bug gets. Thanks for the warning though!

I'm pretty good at defining what bugs are- I mean, there are some regualr water bugs, centipedes, etc that I'd see occassionally as it gets warmer... but this bug is nothing normal- and it screams tick IMO. Thats why I'm so scared!!!

Okay glad to hear. I had no idea there was a bed bug problem right now, I was very shocked to find out! I don't know what else they could be then... maybe you could call an exterminator is they become a problem.

But wouldn't you find bed bugs in beds? Or, is that a stupid question?

Usually, but there other enviroments that they can live. It's a really horrible thing to get because they are almost impossible to rid your home of. Melissa- I feel very bad for your friend!!
