Demand Action Springfield, Missouri passed BSL in April 2006. Mayor Tom Carlson was quoted as saying, "Vicious dogs and vicious pit bulls will not be tolerated in this community. Period." As we read earlier this week, city councilwoman Sheila Wright's dog has been reported for attacking her neighbor's dog SEVEN TIMES in the last two years. Surely the behavior of Councilwoman Wright's dog must be considered "vicious" in the eyes of Mayor Carlson, so let's keep him to his word of ZERO tolerance for "vicious dogs" in his community.
Please write to Mayor Carlson and the Springfield city council and demand that Ms. Wright comply with the regulations of the vicious dog ordinance passed in April.
