Thumbs down Work stinks

First of all... last Friday my flowers were practically dead. I thought the roses were $125 (which IMO is expensive)... so I called the place to complain and they said they were sending over another long stem 24 rose arrangement. Not getting our credit card statement yet I asked how much they were- they were THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS!! Even Keith misunderstood the guy... my God, that money could've gone to so many better uses. However, I didn't want to make Keith feel bad because they were SO beautiful and it was such a nice thought and surprise. Maybe that's normal to some people... but to me flowers should be like 50 bucks, lol!

But anyway, my point... now I was going on a three day weekend and I wouldn't be able to enjoy them. I couldn't bring them home on PT (Public Transportation). So one of my coworkers and I gently took out all of the flowers, babies breath etc and securely tied everything together in a closet that our deparment uses (but enters rarely) to dry them out so they would hang nicely and I could enjoy them for a LONG time. We even put them in an unused out of the way area in the closet.

I came in yesterday and the roses were on my desk completely crushed. My cousin found them on the floor of the closet when I was out sick and it was apparent that someone threw them down and stepped on them. Then a few coworkers mentioned that they saw a woman I thought I was aquaintences (if not friends in some way) with go in the closet the second I walked out. Seems she was really upset that her "boyfriend" (or whatever he chooses to be to her at the moment) didn't send her anything. I'm really bothered by this

I should make her give me 300 dollars for what she's ruined, not to mention the sentimental value. I thought about putting the crush flowers on her desk and saying "Here... since you wanted them so badly"

Then this morning when I came into work I found my draw open, and that means someone went into the drawers on my desk Not that I have anything to hide... but still!

If you knew for sure it was her, I would go put them on her desk with a card attached that says $300

I do have locked drawers where I keep money, my bag, gym clothes etc, but these were the only drawers I keep open just incase I forget my keys there are files in here that our company may need daily.

I think it's really disgusting of this woman... and she's always been a fair weather type of person. One of those "take take take'... she is 40 and doesn't drive, so would constantly ask for for rides to my neighborhood (where the mall is) and I would end up driving her home after the mall too because I felt bad. I need to stop being nice sometimes

How petty, vindictive and just plain horrible, about the flowers! Seems to me if she was pi**ed at her boyfriend, then she should've been acting out on something of HIS, not yours! And, at 40 years of age, shouldn't she be beyond any kind of acting out?
Are you still looking else where for employment? It sounds like there is very little respect for anyone in the place where you work, AE. You desrve so much better!

I was going to but I decided who cares, I'll make sure I let everyone know about these issues on my final interview (when you leave and they ask for your input, lol).

I AM still looking for something new... I'm pretty sick of the environment. There are so many nice people that I really like... and mostly vindictive, crazy, inconsiderate losers!

Wow - how petty! Even as bad as the girls hate me here, I could never see any of them doing something like that. I might've let it drop if the roses were only like $50 (which is the going rate around here) - but $300!?!?!?! I think I'd have told her she owed me that money - not that you'd ever get it, but just to make her think about her actions.

Amen to that! That kind of behavior I might expect from a junior high school kid, but not a supposedly grown woman.
