Lacey is a long haired dappled female mini dachshund. Her start in life was a bit rough since she was found locked in a bathroom after her owner's skipped out on rent in the apartment they were living in. She was a very scared, and lonely little girl when I got her. But it didn't take long for her personality to to come bouncing out of her with excitement and pure joy in everything she did.
She loves playing with her other brothers and sisters on the farm. With almost an acre of fenced in land to play, there's so much to explore! Her favorite past time is searching for grasshoppers in the grass. To see her hopping after them in the grass is priceless!
Lacey's true love in life is riding in the truck. If I grab my truck keys (yes, she knows the difference between the car and truck keys!) she's at the door, waiting for me. Since the town we live close to is small, everyone knows Lacey, and is spoiled by everyone we meet. She has a great time at the farm store romping up and down the aisles with her friend, Pete the cat.
Like all my dogs, Lacey is blessing to have. She has shown me that no matter how badly life treats you, there is joy to be found, it's just a sniff away!
