Name: Skadi (pronounced Kaw-dee)
Breed: Alaskan Malamute
Birthdate: September 17, 2005
Weight at 9 months: 90 Lbs
On November 19, 2005 was the start of my new life with my new two legged mommy and daddy. They came to pick me up and I was really scared, I hid under the chair. Mommy picked me up and put me in this thing called a crate for the car ride home. Mom was so surprised at how heavy I was, 18 Lbs at 8 weeks old.
When we arrived home I was a bit nervous but mommy and daddy played with me and gave me presents. My first night, I was such a brave girl I didn't cry at all. My new home was great, I got all this attention just for me. My own toys, food and love, I didn't have to share with anyone.
Now is probably a good time to explain my name. My mommy said that I was a goddess and I of course agree, so mom said that I should be named after a goddess. Mom said that there was a goddess in Norse mythology named Skadi and she was the goddess of winter. This goddess also had an obsession with feed and I LOVE feet so mom said that settles it your name is Skadi, goddess of winter.
I was very shy at first, so mom said I needed to be socialized. I started by going to a puppy social. I had so much fun, I love playing with other doggies. Because, I was such a good girl, me and my new friend philly got to go on T.V. to show the benefits of socialization.
After a couple of socials and daycare days, mom said that now I need to start school. I am now in advanced level 1. School is ok but I'd rather be playing with my friends, but it makes mommy happy so I try my best.
I love to play with toys (well destroy them really) and wrestle with daddy, but my new favorite thing is hiking. I love to visit new places and smell everything.
Before I end my bio, I just want everyone to know that I LOVE people and doggies. I truly believe that everyone should love me as much as I love them.
Skadi.
