Most pet owners have heard of animal communicators and pet psychics. Some openly accept intuitive communication while others doubt that such communication is possible. It is both difficult to prove or disprove because it is a highly subjective topic so all I can do is share my experience. Before sharing my personal attempt to prove/disprove intuitive communication, here's how it works:
Animal communicators believe that everyone has intuitive ability and that we are simply unaware of it. Adults are taught to suppress their creative and emotional side, to question non-logical information and consciously screen it out. But according to those who embrace their non-logical side, anyone can learn to bring his or her intuitive ability under conscious control. Animal communicators send information to an animal in 4 main ways: talking aloud, thinking a message, sending a picture and/or sending a feeling. There are 5 modes of receiving information from an animal: hearing, feeling, seeing/knowing, smelling or tasting. There is no distance or language barrier with intuitive communication.
Like many pet guardians, I know there is intelligence behind the eyes of my animal companions. But I wanted proof and while searching, accidentally stumbled across the rather elusive world of animal communicators. It didn't take much to set up a consultation: after paying the fee, sending questions I wanted to ask and including a photograph of my dog Dodger, the consultation began. I expected the animal communicator to reveal some form of tangible evidence that would enlighten me.
Thinking that I had covered everything, I even thought up a question that would be able to prove or disprove the communicators abilities. At the time, only 3 people knew that I had NOT found Dodger abandoned on the side of the road. In reality, he was found by a friend of friend, in the woods with his siblings at 4 weeks old. I decided to omit this from the animal communicator and instead gave a vague explanation of Dodger's past: simply saying that he was a found puppy. The animal communicators answer was [paraphrasing]: He doesn't like to think about that time but he is showing me a women and being kept isolated in a dark place. At first I was elated because it was accurate. Dodger was found by a woman and left in a barn. But as my logical side caught up with my eagerness to believe, I was disappointed that there was no mention of the littermates he was found with.
I had also inquired about Dodger's air-snapping, which at the time, I thought was caused by fear aggression. She explained that Dodger would much rather spend time with me and could take or leave the dog park. She thought that Dodger didn't have early or proper socialization. This information was both accurate and incorrect. Dodger was taken from his dam too early but he had his siblings and when he came to me, he did receive plenty of socialization. From what I had observed, Dodger had no interest in the dog park and would rather spend time with humans.
The rest of the session included information that as a pet owner, I was delighted to hear, for example: Dodger enjoys training and competition and just loves being with you. But as such, it was not concrete evidence it was what any pet owner would love to hear so I dismissed it.
In the end I was disappointed with the report but at the same time, I'm not sure what I hoped for! What was I so desperate to hear? How could I expect to come away with evidence that this communicator communicated with Dodger? In the end, this consultation left me with more answers than questions. I certainly have not closed my mind to intuitive communication but I do remain skeptical.
Do supporters of intuitive communication have more money than sense? Or is it possible that such miraculous abilities truly exist? I'll let you decide!

hello melissa,
maybe your right about having more money than sense when it comes to some pet owners,I personally think that if you are close enough to your pet, like I am with my soul mate of nearly four years, you learn to understand your pets ways and you are the one most able to communicate with them mentally as well as vocally,A short note of wisdom I found, can,t remember where, said, believe in those who seek the truth, disbelieve those who find it, but above all believe in youself.Maybe it should be told to the psychics who charge for their services!.
sharon.
